CNS: مصرف این دارو ممکن است باعث
گیجی سرگیجه و خستگی شود. افزایش
کلسترول مصرف این دارو ممکن است میزان سرمی کلسترول توتال را افزایش دهد. مشکلات پزشکی دیگر - وجود مشکلات پزشکی دیگر مثل
بیماریهای کلیوی و کبدی ممکن است روی مصرف
لتروزول اثر بگذارد.

Description:
This medication is used to treat certain types of breast cancer in women. Letrozole works by decreasing the amounts of female hormones in the body. This meant to be used only by women who already stopped menstruating.
Before Using This Medicine:
The following should be considered: Allergies-tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to letrozole.
Pregnancy- if this medicine is taken by a pregnant woman for any reason it may cause harm to and Possibly even death of the fetus.
Older adults- this medicine has been tested and has not been shown to cause different effects in older women than in younger adults.
Other Medical problems- the presence of other medical problems may affect the use of letrozole especially: kidney disease or liver disease.
CNS depression: This medicine may cause dizziness, fatigue and somnolence.
patients should be
cautioned before
performing tasks which require mental alertness.
Increased cholesterol:
This medicine may increase total serum cholesterol.
Side Effects:
The most Important side effect is blood clots which could lead to heart attack or stroke. Stop taking this medicine and get emergency help immediately if any of the following side effects occurs: shortness of breath, chest pain, continuing or severe nervousness, cough, dizziness or light headache, fast heartbeat, heart attack, increased sweating, nausea, severe and sudden headache, severe and sudden weakness or numbness in arm or leg.
Precautions:
It is very important that your doctor checks your progress at regular visits to make sure that the medicine is working properly and does not cause unwanted effects.
Interactions:
Tamoxifen: Tamoxifen may decrease letrozole plasma concentrations.
Methadone: Letrozole may increase the serum concentration of methadone.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to letrozole or any of its excipients.
Dosage Information:
Dosing- The dose of letrozole may be different for different patients. Follow your doctor's orders or the directions on the label. The following information includes only the average dose of letrozole. If your dose is different do not change it unless your doctor tells you to do SO.
Adults- one 2.5mg tablet daily.
Missed dose- If you miss a dose of this medicine take it as soon as you remember.
However if you do not remember until the next day skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the next day's dose.
Storage:
Store away from heat and direct light at below 30°C.
Do not store it in the bathroom near the kitchen sink or in other damp places. Heat or moisture may cause the medicine to break down. Do not keep outdated medicine. Keep out of the reach of children.
